This is so smart, funny and layered, script-wise. I love the way it explores loneliness, selling out and just how some people value relationships and others take them for granted, theme-wise. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine are PHENOMENAL, acting-wise and Lemmon makes such an iconic character out of C.C. Baxter, personality-wise. This is fantastic, movie-wise;).
