Smart, tense, creepy and a whole lot of fun. It kinda falls apart in the third act though because some of the plot points become predictable and one of the posters spoils a big twist. However, the ending itself is so ballsy for a movie that came out in 1968. Romero was definitely trying to get something across here, beyond just showing people fighting zombies. I also love how it values the creep factor rather than the gore factor because most zombie movies today are just glorifying all the violence but this one really wants to scare you.
