So I watched the 162-minute Bootleg Cut and while I don’t think the extra footage really added much, I still love this movie. It’s an endlessly awesome, heartwarming and seamless deconstruction of what’s behind the façade of fame. Also, can someone please help Billy Crudup and Jason Lee escape Hollywood typecasting prison? They really need to fire their agents because they’re both so great in this movie and they don’t get any good roles like this anymore. Also, the Tiny Dancer scene is cinematic excellence. Anyway, God bless Cameron Crowe.

Absolutely loved it. Cameron Crowe is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors. This movie is so damn heartwarming and it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I loved all the characters, I dug the 70s vibe and I love how it explores the sheer lack of genuineness in these rockstars. It’s about how you shouldn’t sell yourself out and become something that you’re not. This will surely go down as one of my all-time favorites.
