I love Sissy Spacek’s performance and the way they build her character but overall, this was just pretty unpleasant and there’s no fun to be had with it. However, this movie obviously created a lot of clichés so I probably did myself a disservice by waiting so long to watch this, not to mention the fact that my stupid 11 year-old self watched the 2013 remake way back when, so I knew every story beat going into this.
