There is finally a great movie in theaters that’s not called Ad Astra or Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. This is a beautiful and deeply moving portrait of PTSD and the desire to be loved. It has so much to say about pain and how hard it is to move on from the past. It’s so well written with great dialogue that’s at times hilarious and both Noah Jupe and Shia LaBeouf are incredible. Shia gives without a doubt the best performance of his career and one of the best of the year. Noah Jupe gives the best child performance of the year hands down. Only thing I could’ve asked for was a little more closure at the end. Such a well-done film and one of the best I’ve seen all year. Really wish it was getting more attention.
