Can someone please tell me why everyone loves this movie beyond just “It’s the greatest film ever made” or “It’s filled with never-before-seen cinematic innovations”? After a second viewing of this, I still don’t see it as a masterpiece. I love Orson Welles’ performance but besides that, it’s a pretty average story to me.
