Yes! I finally liked a PTA film! I’m not sure of my complete thoughts yet but I do know it was very entertaining and I loved the way it explored the troubled lives of these characters and how insecure and unhappy they were and how hard it was for them to escape the world of pornography. It brings to light the way society was and how it changed between the 70s and 80s. I dug the retro vibe and the awesome soundtrack. Also, man… that third act was a knockout. The scene at the drug dealer’s house was perfection. I definitely wish that the first two thirds were as deep as the last 45 minutes but I know I at least really liked it. Certainly will be thinking about this one in the days to come. Seems like one that could grow on me.
