One of the most New York Jewish (with a capital J) movies ever made and I loved it. It’s just so smart, fantastically written and overall hilarious. It’s basically a more comedic, movie version of The Catcher In The Rye and Alvy Singer is basically Holden Caulfield which I adore because it’s my favorite book. Only two problems: I didn’t see the need to have certain scenes out of order as it’s sometimes confusing and that one joke towards the end about statutory rape is very problematic. Too bad Woody Allen has to be a pedophile. Also, I loved the Paul Simon and Christopher Walken cameos.
