It wasn’t all that groundbreaking to me but overall, this is a decent, well-made and very moving story. It definitely has some pacing issues but there are some truly terrific scenes. Chiwetel Ejiofor’s performance and the development of Solomon as a character are what really propel the film forward. The ending is absolutely heartbreaking. Also, another masterful score from Hans Zimmer.
