I don’t get why everyone shits on this movie cause it’s easily one of my favorite Wes Anderson flicks. His style so often overtakes the substance in his films making them feel emotionally distant but this one has just the right balance between the storytelling and his offbeat stylistic choices. It’s entertaining, adventurous, funny and, most importantly, moving. Great performances as well and it goes without saying that the production design and costumes are immaculate.
