The animation is beautiful and I love how the whole movie is brimming with color and imagination but I found the story and the characters to be pretty thin. It’s all visuals and not much emotion in between. I also felt that it was way too long or just poorly paced and they never really explained anything about this spirit world. I dunno maybe it’s just cause I didn’t grow up with this movie? I just didn’t see what was so special about it. LOVE the score though.
