I love the cast and there are some really funny moments. Ana De Armas is an absolute revelation and overall I was entertained but considering my expectations, I was pretty disappointed. The plot structure is just really annoying. There’s a bit too much that’s revealed in the beginning and it doesn’t really allow the audience to play along with the mystery. There’s just way too much exposition. The plot is honestly pretty stagnant for the first 45 minutes. And I appreciate what Rian Johnson was going for with the social commentary but at times it feels like it’s overtaking the plot to the point where it’s not really a whodunnit anymore. I also found the big reveal at the end to be extremely underwhelming and way too predictable. It’s a fun watch with great performances but it could’ve been a lot better. Also, I got to meet Rian Johnson at the screening which was awesome!!!
