Really entertaining and genuinely eerie, creepy and tension-filled. Will Smith gives one of his best performances and they actually do a really good job at developing his character and conveying emotion through his loneliness. And I know that people heavily criticize both the visual effects and the ending but if you think about how this came out in 2007, they’re actually pretty good and I really appreciate Neville’s fate. And besides, I watched the alternate ending in the director’s cut and I’m glad they didn’t use it because it wasn’t very good. I’m surprised by how underrated I found this one to be and it was a very solid, pleasant surprise. Let’s just hope our world isn’t like this in a few months😬.
