I didn’t remember much from the first time I saw this so I needed a rewatch and yep… I LOVED it. It’s a brilliantly written, seamlessly directed and endlessly engrossing psychological thriller. Rosamund Pike is fucking AMAZING to the point where she actually terrified me. Ben Affleck is also fantastic, not to mention Carrie Coon and Tyler Perry as well. And damn, the cinematography, the editing, that score from Reznor and Ross and the “Cool Girl” monologue. The 2015 Oscars really screwed this movie over. I could not get enough and I truly didn’t want it to end. Can we get Gillian Flynn to write that sequel already?
