I loved everything with Patrick Swayze being a ghost and Whoopi Goldberg helping him but the whole Tony Goldwyn subplot was just so dumb and predictable. The movie would’ve been so much better had it focused on Sam learning to accept his death rather than trying to figure out who was responsible for it. The ending did get to me though. I still can’t believe this was actually nominated for Best Picture, especially against the likes of Dances With Wolves and GoodFellas.
